Who Can Vote?

Who Can Vote

You can vote in the municipal election if you:

  • Are a Canadian citizen
  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Live in or own property in The Town of The Blue Mountains (or are the spouse of an owner/tenant)
  • Are not prohibited from voting under the law

Note: Property must be personally owned or rented to vote in that municipality. Properties owned by a business or trust do not qualify.

How to Vote

Check any mail, email, or notice from the Town of the Blue Mountains for the exact voting URL and PIN.

Additional Information can  be found at the Town’s Election Website linked here: TBM Election Website

Are you Seasonal or Part-time?

In this election, the voters’ list has been redone by Elections Ontario.

Many of our part-time residents, even if they have voted in the past, will need to reregister.

If you own multiple properties, you and your spouse have the right to register to vote in each municipality where you own property.

When votes are recorded in Grey County, the weighting is based on the number of electors registered to vote.

Registering helps your Council represent you.
